Meet Your Educational Specialist and Trainer
Taylor Mayer, M.A. (she/her/hers)
Taylor Mayer has been in K-12 classrooms for over 15 years in a variety of roles. She has two masters degrees in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction. Taylor got her start as an after school camp counselor in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, she spent 8 years in K-5 schools. During her principal internship, she discovered her love of adult learning and instructional coaching. She spent four years working as a Support Specialist for K-12 Social Studies in Albuquerque Public Schools. In this role, she had the privilege of training educators, administrators, and district leaders for the nation’s 34th largest school district. She has served as a writer and developer for multiple state-wide initiatives including the development of state standards, instructional scopes, and a culturally and linguistically responsive instruction audit tool. After moving to San Diego, California in 2022, she became an independent consultant and educational specialist. She currently serves as an international trainer for the Center of Teacher Effectiveness and speaks at conferences across the nation.
